Today’s Reading:

Isaiah 25:1-5

Prophet Isaiah’s messages were both condemnation, salvation, and blessing to both his own people and other nations as the spirit directed. But the passage for consideration speaks of God’s mercy and salvation because of lawlessness and perverseness that was multiplying in the heart of men all over the world. As it was in the beginning, so it is now.

The sinfulness going on in the world today has been, but the only drama played out in all the book of the Bible has been, “God having a law in place to help man but man not being able to keep it. God’s anger was kindled to punish and God creating a way back to himself for man.” As much as God is not happy with our sinful nature, he still makes for us a way of escape because he is not happy when we fall.

God by His own wisdom covered the shame of Adam and Eve when they rebelled, and He is still in that business even till now. Isaiah said if you make the Lord you God and praise Him, He will deliver, save, comfort and subdue terrible nations for you. Man has the liberty to choose between good and evil, life and death. It is an invitation today for you to come unto the Lord’s side because He alone can save.
