Hosea 6:1-6
Psalm 85:8-13
Hosea 6:6
"For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings" (Hosea 6:6 NKJV)
What is mercy?
It Is the unmerited favour of God. God's way of accepting us, blessing us, lifting us, protecting us and so on, irrespective of our status, and relationship with Him. The sacrifice here is our presumed works, activities, holiness, and righteousness before the Lord. They might be good and obvious so much that people commend us while present or absent. Here the subject matter is mercy. Romans 9:16 - "So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showed mercy."
A man Uzzah in the Bible 2 Samuel 6:1-7, was smote dead for touching the Ark of God in error from falling. I pray the mercy of God will not be far from us in the name of Jesus.
In the case of Cornelius (Acts 10), his alms and sacrifice of worship to God were recognized, yet he lacked the mercy of God, which is SALVATION. Until an angel of God appeared to him before he could receive the mercy of salvation.
It is only by the mercy of God that we can be justified, conquer enemies, and do great exploits for the Lord. Above all, be saved by His grace and inherit eternity in heaven.

Mercy of God, speak for me where I do not have a mouth in the name of Jesus.
The mercy of God arises and prevails over every judgment of the enemies against our lives in the name of Jesus.
Mercy of God, appear in our nation in the name of Jesus.
Powers that want us to lose the mercy of God die in the name of Jesus.
