Today’s Readings:
Psalm 129; Jer. 38:14-28; 1 Cor.6:1-11

A messenger without a message represents no one except his own thoughts and idea. There is no threat that shakes a representative of God – what he needs do is to report the case to the Super-being he represents. Anyone who fights a true child of God fights God and it is glaring that such a person will fail. A representative of God must be very sure of whom he represents and to know what He can do – the belief in God will add to the boldness children of God have in Christ. No matter how numerous the enemies as well as challenges may be to a child of God once he stands and follows the precepts of God the enemies and the challenges make him grow in spirit and strengthen him the more.
Futility is the effort of enemies in the life of God’s children, as long as they do not disobey His precepts. Therefore, it is expected of a servant and a child of God to stand firm in what God tells him. He must not compromise his faith, and God’s message in his hand must not be diluted – children of God represent God in his judgement. Unbelievers must not intrude into the affairs of the family of God but this happens when believers create a vacuum for unbelievers to occupy – children of God should guide and guard their position well.
OLOYEDE SUNDAY OYEDELE
Prayer:
My Father, I appreciate You for making me Your representative and I pledge my allegiance to forge ahead standing for You to the end, in Jesus name.
Father, strengthen my weaknesses in order to stand for You alone, to the very end, in Jesus name.
My Father, let Your message spread round the world through me, in Jesus name.
Father Lord, dominate this nation with Your gospel, in Jesus name.
Father, save lives with the work of mission through Your children, in Jesus name.
