FAITH IN GOD IS ALL YOU NEED

Today’s Reading:

Hebrews 10:19-39

"And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42But one thing is needful: Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:41-42)

According to the story, Martha was very busy in entertainment specifics immediately the Lord Jesus entered into their abode but Mary was only interested in every word that came from the mouth of the Lord (Rom.10:17) "so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing of the word of God". That as good as we are spirit filled children of God, we need to always take time to pray by telling God our needs and wants but we usually find it very hard to hear God for a feedback on the instructions on how and when our prayers are answered.

Prayer is not just one man talking or instructing the other but should be a discussion between a son and his father.

Therefore, in cultivating the habit of receiving words from God, walking with his instructions is key. We should walk boldly without wavering in love and good works, not forsaking the assemblies of brethren ,for iron sharpeneth iron.

Faith in God is to wilfully work against every work of the flesh, unholiness which could thwart the purpose of Jesus's death on the cross. Again let this sink deep that a Christian life is not determined by fate, but by faith "... the just shall live by faith" not determined by coincidence but by supernatural commands and confession"... you shall decree a thing and it shall be established".

OLUWOLE OTEMADE

PRAYER:

  1. My father in heaven, give me a heart and mind that is always yearning for you, in Jesus name.

  2. Lord Jesus Christ, as I stand on the efficacy of your words, please open my eyes to see you above all obstacles standing within and without and to behold those wonderful sights, in Jesus mighty name.

  3. Open my ears to hear those secret things you want your children to hear in Jesus name.

  4. Lord Jesus Christ, grant unto me a steadfast heart to obey You all the days of my life, in Jesus name.

  5. I cry unto you Lord Jesus Christ today that you uphold Nigerian youths, preserve them, and use them for your glory and honour to fulfil and accomplish your divine agenda, in Jesus mighty name.
