Today's Reading:
1Corinthans 3:13
"Every man's work shall be made manifest for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is" (1Corn. 3:13)
When we are talking about man’s work, we mean labour, toil, exertion, job, efforts, duty, endeavour, which could be mental, physical or spiritual in order to achieve a purpose or result. It is a task(s) to be undertaken. According to today’s Bible passage, we are told that our works will be made manifest; meaning that all we do in life is not hidden, whether in the open or in the secret, including what we do in His house. As believers must have this at the back of our minds:-
that the work we do for God is not with the rewards or accolades of men.
that everybody is equal in the sight of God,
that God judges the hearts of men, not comparing us with each other,
that God is not partial, no favouritism, no nepotism with Him. We are all going to be judged according to our works and obedience to Him.
In fact, His love is more to all those who do His will in all situations and at all times. Our lives are expected to follow what God stands for. It is the manifestation of our work that will qualify us to be called true believers or children of God. Either good work or bad work, they shall all be tested through refiner's fire. Therefore, let us do good, for in well doing in the way of worship to the Lord and good to our fellow men, so as to be His forever.
