EPIC BATTLES YOU MUST FIGHT IN THE LAST DAYS

Today’s Reading:
2 Corinthians 10:3–6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:3–6)

As we approach the end of time, the enemy has unleashed his weapons to battle humanity and to ensure that he takes as many people as possible in fulfilling his ministry of “kill, steal and destroy”. His major target is believers. It is always a special trophy for him whenever he can bring down one believer. May you not be his victim in the name of Jesus.
The following are the various battles that confront the believer in these end times:
A. Discouragement: Deut. 1:21; Numbers 32:6-7. To discourage is to cause someone to lose courage. It is to make someone lose enthusiasm, especially in things of God. It is to persuade someone against a course of action.
The spirit of discouragement is the spirit of the last days.
Discouragement comes when Christians begin to hear the voice of Satan regularly. It comes when they hear less and less of the voice of the Holy Spirit.
It comes when they forget who they are.
It comes when they listen more to the news of the world.
Discouragement leads to the following:
• Loss of confidence in the leaders
• Backsliding
• Trying to use carnal weapons to fight spiritual battles
• Fighting the wrong enemy.
• Refusing to fight at all.
• Murmuring against God.
B. Poverty: The enemy is using the weapon of poverty to fight many Christians. Poverty leads Christians to compromise in a bid to make ends meet. We must, therefore, pray against poverty, as there are provisions in the scriptures that ensure that we do not remain in poverty. 2 Corinthians 8:9 states that our Lord Jesus Christ became poor, so that through His poverty we might be rich.
C. Witchcraft: There is an epidemic of witchcraft in our land and all over the world. That is a power that the church must confront. It is foolhardy for any Christian to think that it does not exist. Daniel 8:25 states that this is a spirit that will prosper in the last days. God’s stand in Exodus 22:18 on witchcraft shows us that it is not something to be toyed with. Some of the reasons why you must fight witchcraft are as follows:
• It encourages rebellion against God
• Witchcraft has infiltrated many churches
• Witchcraft plays a role in lukewarmness in the church
• It attacks the homes of Christians
D. Altars: An altar is a place of convergence of spirits and man. Right now, there is a battle of altars going on in our land and all over the world; altars raised to God and altars raised to the devil. Altars raised to God bring open heavens, while altars raised to the devil bring closed heavens. In many communities, altars raised by their forefathers are speaking against them.
How do we handle these epic battles?
You must be born again.
You must bring quality repentance before God.
Be filled constantly with the Holy Spirit.
Ask for the fire of God regularly.
Live a life of holiness.
Constantly read your Bible and memorise scriptures.
VICTOR ABASSAH
To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer out loud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! You are welcome to the body of Christ. Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayers:
Every voice speaking discouragement into my life, be silenced by the Blood of Jesus.
I silence every voice of fear, in the name of Jesus.
As the Lord lives, I refuse to be discouraged in the name of Jesus.
Lord, open my eyes to see the path you have set for me in the name of Jesus.
I nullify, by the Blood of Jesus, every witchcraft verdict issued against my life, in the name of Jesus.
I revoke the sentence of death issued against my life in the name of Jesus.
Altars of my father’s house speaking against my destiny, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
