Today’s Readings:
Ezekiel 9:1-7,10:18-22
Psalm 113:1-6
Matthew 18:15-20
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.”
(Colossians 1:16)
When we lose the glory of God, we turn on each other. When God’s glory no longer fills us, we see each other as enemies and we are marked for destruction. Ezekiel, in a vision, saw the glory of God leaving the House of God. And with that, God’s justice visited the people. Six men, bearing weapons, went about killing everyone from the oldest to the youngest. Only those who were marked on the forehead were spared (Ezekiel 9:1-7,10:18-22).
What does it mean to be marked?
It means that you have been consecrated and set apart and you live for the glory of God just like Saint Maximillian Kolbe.
It means that you have been Baptised; you have been claimed for Christ.
It means that you receive the Eucharist and you walk in the footsteps of Christ (by your way of thinking, your words and actions).
It means that you have been anointed and sealed with the Holy Spirit in Confirmation so that you bless others through acts of faith, hope and love and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
You are willing to forgive when somebody offends you and you are willing to seek reconciliation when someone has something against you (2 Corinthians 5:19).
It means that you do not slander others or spread lies and gossip about them.
You see your gifts not solely as a means of self-enrichment but as a means of lifting others and bringing them closer to God.
A self-seeking attitude to life forfeits the glory of God upon your life. But a selfless person will enjoy God’s favour always.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord, you created me for Yourself.
Lord, help me to live for You alone.
Lord, deliver me from the desire for fame and wealth which is not in accord with Your will.
Lord, let my heart be united with that of Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, use me for Your mighty purposes, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
May God continue to bless protect and prosper you and keep your glory resplendent everywhere and every time.
