DARE TO PRAISE

Today’s Reading:

Psalms 30

Since the beginning of the year 2020, the long-awaited millennium, surprisingly, it has been one devastation or another all over the world. This Psalm of praise for deliverance is still relevant even today.

Verse 11 says: " you have turned my mourning into dancing, you have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness"

In the face of the following devastating events:

  1. Fire outbreak has ravaged Australia, then came terribly a heavy rain that brought great flood in the same place.

  2. China was not left out with the outbreak of COVID-19 and it was transmitted all over and death tolls has risen to over 207,000 as at the time of writing this.

  3. World economies are scared.

  4. Countries like Italy, Spain, and others under the European Union are scavenging for information or way out of their present situation.

  5. Tobacco companies are crying against ban of products.

  6. Brewing companies have been drastically hit.

  7. Petroleum companies are under pressure from an almost total drop of demand.

  8. Both Federal, State and Private, either multinational or household employer of labour are finding it difficult to pay wages.

  9. Home are under the pressure of feeding their families under the lockdown

  10. Many breadwinners have died through from the pandemic and other outbreaks like Ebola and Lassa Fever, and various strange diseases.

  11. Both churches and mosques have been asked to shut down physical meetings because of the pandemic.

We dare to praise the Most High God!

WOLE OTEMADE

Prayer:

  1. Lord, give us wisdom to see you and acknowledge your power and love above all circumstances, in Jesus name.

  2. I receive victory by the blood of Jesus shed for me and no situation or circumstance will make me lose focus, in Jesus name.

  3. Even when a thousand fall by my left and ten thousand on my right, I will not be moved, in Jesus name.

  4. As a nation, we run into your secret place of the Most High, and hide under the shadow of the Almighty God, in Jesus Name.
