Acts 3:11-26

Psalm 8:2,5-9

Luke 24:35-48

There is great power in the name of Jesus. For that power to be activated in your life, you need faith. And faith ought to be a constant feature throughout your day and all the days of your life. This is how the first disciples made a great impact on their listeners and converted thousands of followers to the faith.

Here are some quick and powerful prayers you can sprinkle throughout your day to keep you mindful of your faith in God and unlock the great power present in the name of Jesus Christ, the Cornerstone and Foundation of our faith:

  • In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  • Thank You, Jesus.

  • Come, Holy Spirit, into my heart.

  • Thank God.

  • We bless God.

  • Jesus, I love you.

  • Lord Jesus, have mercy on me.

  • Lord, help me (God a beg).

  • Na God (It is the Lord).

  • Lord, have mercy on me.

  • Bless us, O Lord, and this Your gift which we are about to receive from Your bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  • We give You thanks, Almighty God, for all Your benefits. You will live and reign forever and ever. Amen.

  • Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A healthy dose of prayer throughout the day will increase hope in God, decrease fear and anxiety, renew zeal for service, strengthen trust in God, chase away temptations, raise awareness of God’s presence and translate to a radiant and spontaneous joyfulness which wins souls to God.

Task: Say the prayers above as often as you can each day.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”

If you said the prayer, Congratulations! You are welcome to the body of Christ. Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.

Prayer:

  1. Jesus, I love You. All I have is Yours. Yours I am, and Yours I will always be. I am your servant. Do with me as you wish. Use me for your mighty purposes. Amen.

  2. Lord Jesus, You are the Cornerstone of my life. Let the world know you by my words, my life, my joys and my challenges. Let everything I do be a reflection of your glory, now and forever. Amen.
