Most people cannot shake off the feeling that they deserve better than they have received. Deep in our minds, we recognise that we are made for something far greater than we now possess. The Christian tradition describes this feeling as a “vocation”. Saint Paul says that “Through the Good News, God called us to share the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 2:14). That feeling you have is from God. The reason for it is to share in the glory of God.
We can lay claim to this call to glory because Jesus has obtained salvation for us through a new covenant, signed, sealed, delivered and paid for with His Blood. It is to set us free from sin’s slavery that Jesus Christ died for us (Galatians 5:1). and it was while we were yet sinners that Christ died and rose again (Romans 5:8). By dying, He destroyed the curse of death. And by rising, He has restored us to new life as a gift from God. And He has chosen us to be His voices in the world, calling others to the same salvation and glory that we have received. Knowing this truth, how should we proceed today?
Be grateful for God’s blessings, beginning with the gift of your life.
Your gifts are from God, and they are not grounds for boasting (1 Corinthians 4:7-8).
Have a clear mission and vision statement. Your mission statement is a formal summary of your aims and values. Your vision statement describes what you hope to achieve and where you want to be in the future.
Embrace your mission. You have a special calling in your life to make Christ known and loved.
Your ambition is small if your vision and mission serve only you.
Manifesting is not enough. Do not end on the level of talk.
Pray about your mission since everything depends on God. But work very hard like everything depends on it.
It is possible to be called by God and still miss the mark —just look at Judas Iscariot.
Strive after Christian perfection according to your status (single, married, consecrated) and station in life (rich or poor).
What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love faithfully, and to walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8).

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
May the good Lord bless and keep me.
May His call upon my life be brought to fulfilment.
May the obstacles in my way serve as stepping stones and not stumbling blocks.
And may every good gift which adds to my eternal Salvation be given to me, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
May God grant me the grace and strength to accomplish my purpose and find peace and contentment forevermore, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
