John 1: 43-51 (Rom 46b)
“Philip said to him, “Come and see.” (v. 46b)
We are all called to make the Lord known to others. Philip was called by the Lord Himself; “Follow me”. He was not seeking the Lord. Philip must have seen something different in Andrew and Peter after their call by the Lord. Therefore, it was easy for him to respond positively to the call to follow Jesus and immediately Philip saw Nathaniel, he invited him for same encounter.
The life of a believer must reflect Christ; love, humility, submission etc. Christ-like behaviour will surely make it easy for others to follow Jesus. Every believer is expected to go to any length to reach a soul for Christ no matter how depraved the person is. From our text, we see the following: Philip followed the example of Jesus and called Nathaniel to “come and see” - he was a soul winner. 1 John 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. He did not know much because he has just been called by Jesus but he brought Nathaniel to the Lord. He said to Nathaniel, “come and see”. He did not go into any argument with him when he responded to him in John 1: 46 “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” If you are a soul winner, you are wise (Proverbs 11:30), and wisdom is the principal thing. Jesus said in John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you have not known Him, “come and see”, for you cannot see His power until you come close to see. Are you a believer, ensure you win a soul for Christ today.

Prayer:
Father, Maker of all things, I worship you today; My Lord and King be exalted in the name of Jesus.
Father, in any way I have not been complete in my obedience to you, please forgive me in your mercy, in Jesus name.
My Father and my God, please help me by your Spirit to be a consistent soul winner in the Name of Jesus.
Father please let the Church of Jesus Christ reflect the love Christ and let the power of old be made manifest in Jesus’ Name.
Father; the Lord over the nations, please have mercy on my nation and make her a nation that will show forth your glory in the name of Jesus.
