Today’s Reading:
Psalm 120
“I call on the Lord in my distress and He answers me’’ (v. 1 NIV)

Psalm 120 teaches us about how we should respond to God in times of trouble. It focuses on prayer during the bad times.
When in trouble, pray.
God hears you when you pray. That is what the Psalmist says in verse 1 : ‘’ I call on the Lord in my distress and he answers me’’- Psalm 120:1. When you pray, the God who created all things, the God who is bigger than the universe hears you. He pays attention to you. Never take that for granted. Everyone cries out when they are in trouble. But what matters is to whom do you cry out ? , the Psalmist cried out to the Lord, and the Lord answered him.
Therefore, when in trouble, cry out to God to save you. This is exactly what the Psalmist does in verse 2: “save me o Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues”- Psalm 120:2 The word “save” means to deliver or rescue. The Psalmist in Psalm 34:17 says: “ The righteous cry and the Lord hears and delivered them out of all their trouble”

Prayers:
O Lord, by your mercy and grace, deliver me from any power that is hindering my prayers in the name of Jesus.
Every arrow fired against my prayer life, backfire in Jesus name.
Anointing of effectual fervent prayer, fall upon my life in the name of Jesus.
We break down the authority and dominion of Satan over the souls of men, in Jesus name.
We break any evil covenant between any satanic external influence and our leaders, in Jesus name.
