Today’s Reading:
Psalm 111; Psalm 47

According to the Oxford advance learners dictionary, to be thankful means to express gratitude, it means there was something that was done that warrants the expression of gratitude to another. The scripture made it clear when it said our very being and everything on earth and it’s fullness is of the Lord (psalm 121). More so God created us for a reason of glorifying His name and power, anyone who thinks he has no need to be thankful to God should be able to put in words and numerical outline of what they have done for themselves.
Being a masterpiece of God’s craft, we are the evidence of his artistic character and for everything we see around us, one need not gainsay the mighty wonders of the Lord by just looking at the creatures of the earth, the seas, the lands, the rocks, the mountains and so on are all beautiful reasons to be thankful of.
Reasons to be thankful:
Because great are the works of His hand, looking at the earth, ourselves and everything God has created, we can boldly say our God is wonderful (psalm 111:2)
God created us for His very own glory hence, we can’t just sit and not glorify Him (Psalm 43:7).
God gave us a functioning talking mouth to be able to do things that will help us and glorify his name (psalm 63:3).
For all his benefits towards us (Psalm 68:19).
He is our creator and deserves all our praise.
He subdued people, nations under us and has chosen us for His heritage (Psalm 47).
