BE HOPEFUL IN GOD

Today’s Reading:

Psalm 33:12-22

“We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.” (Psalm 33:20)

A life without hope is a meaningless life. Hope in man is vain but hope in God never disappoints. The situations surrounding us in our environments, societies, and countries are optimistic. Why? Our leaders make things difficult for us, they are heartless and do not have the fear of God. All these affect our daily living, it seems our prayer is unanswered. Another factor that make it seem there is no hope again is that our country or nation does not depend on God, no fear of God.

Our leaders and the followers’ sin cast away God’s presence from us. Presently, we think God is not with us. Verse 12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD ...” We have failed to acknowledge God as our LORD. It now seems that things are changing from bad to worse.

As Christians, let us keep on praying and be hopeful onto our LORD. Verse 20 says, “We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.” As we did not relent in praying, the LORD will come to our aid in our country to help us and make things right for us. We should not throw away our confidence in God, only Him can rescue us from our wicked leaders. May God help us as we hope in Him, in Jesus name. Amen

Prayer:

1. LORD, help me to submit to your will as I hope in your Word, promises, and covenant.

2. Father, as I face the challenges of life, let my hope remain in you in Jesus name.

3. Jesus, as things are not getting better in our country, strengthen me to have hope in you.

4. Holy Spirit help me not to trust in man when challenges of life come my way.
