Today’s Reading:
Psalm 102:1- 17 (13)
"Thou shalt arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come."
(v. 13)
Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. This scripture is a cry of appeal. It is a cry of pray. It is a cry we need at this time. Many hearts are troubled. Many hearts are hurting. Many hearts are down. Many hearts are sick. Many hearts are under Satanic attack. Many hearts have been caged with strange illusions. Many hearts are stagnant. Many hearts are fearful. Many hearts are panicking, due to various fake, demonic, oppressive news flying about.
What are we to do? This is no time or period to panic. We are to arise and lift up our voices and cry to God Almighty for mercy. For God is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us (Ephesians 2:4). For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion (Romans 9:15). O Lord, make us candidate of your mercy as we cry unto you. Our situation, challenges we are facing as individuals and as a nation is not beyond God. God had mercy on Jacob and gave him a new name Israel. God had mercy on the Israelites despite their doubt and unbelief in the wilderness, they still got to the Promised Land. Our God does the impossible. Most importantly, God had mercy on humanity, and he gave us his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins (John 3:16). We need God's mercy for our Nation at this trying time. We are to arise and cry for mercy. So much oppression, so much fault sharing, poverty, joblessness, distress, distrust, hunger in the land, killings, terror, and mind-blowing occurrences.
We children of God have been given the power and authority to decree and whatever we decree shall be established. We are the salt and light of this World. Let our light so shine, and brightly too, so that God may be glorified. We are not to be afraid BUT TO HAVE FAITH. We are not to despair. God is on the throne; He is in charge of human affairs. As we cry unto Him for mercy, He shall arise and have mercy on our nation in Jesus name, Amen. Remember however that if you are a sinner, you cannot stand in the gap for yourself, your family, and your nation. You need to cry for mercy, so your sins can be forgiven, repent of your sins, confess, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.

Prayer:
O God arise, and have mercy upon me and my family, in Jesus name.
Empower me, O Lord, that I may shine in the midst of darkness, in Jesus name.
Holy Spirit, overshadow my life in Jesus name.
Have mercy, O Lord on Your Church, and let not darkness overpower us, in Jesus name.
Have mercy on our nation, O Lord and let Your peace reign, in Jesus name.
