ARE YOU ACCOUNTABLE?

Updated: Jan 2, 2022

Today’s Reading:

Mark 12: 1-12

"What shall therefore the Lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen and will give the vineyard unto others". (v. 9)

The above parable is directed to me and you. What is that thing? What is that talent the Lord has committed into our hands? How are we using it? Do you realize we are going to account for everything we do, and we say? Every loose and careless action. Every "thus saith the Lord", shall be weighed and answered to. "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement" (Matt. 12:36).

For the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. Matt.18: 23; Luke 21: 36; Luke 16:2; Romans 14:12.. These Scriptures refers to everyone and especially we believers. It's so unfortunate that we children of God are so careless about our utterances and action. This shouldn't be so.

It is believers that criticise and condemn other believers and their Spiritual leaders. Little wonder that the power of God is not moving among us as it should. Therefore, we need to examine ourselves. We should not get carried away with negative things going on around us. A lot of negativity, even in the house of God that can easily shake our faith. But we should be focused on Lord Jesus, for he is our author and finisher of our faith. We should rather be a good example to emulate in our generation. If the Saints of old can hold on and we're not distracted, then we should be better. Why? Because we have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us. May the Lord uphold us to the end and make us fit for the Master's approval in Jesus mighty name.

God bless.
