Today’s Reading:
Psalm 31:9-16 (11)
"I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.” (v. 11)
Are you a Reproach? Are you an utter contempt of your neighbours? Are you an object of dread to your friends? Are you scorned by all your enemies? Despised by your neighbours? That even your friends are afraid to come near you. Then, like King David in the above scripture, you are a reproach. An experience in his life when his foes plotted to kill him, a period of problem in his life when his son Absalom was seeking his life. David however turned to God for help.
There comes a time like this in one's life when you have no one to turn to but God. Are you in that kind of period in your life? The challenges of the World is overwhelming? A lot is going on around us that believers, fellow brethren are going through a lot because they are standing for the TRUTH. Our Saviour and Lord went through such a period, He was mocked, beaten, spat on, derided, hated, and was killed, why? At that particular period, He became a reproach because of you and me. And now we have victory.
You are to ponder on this always. Do not let the hatred of this world towards you because of who you are, because of what you stand for press you down. Victory is ours. We refuse to be shaken. We refuse to be down. We refuse to doubt the Word of God, which is yea and Amen. His words concerning us is settled forever. We are over-comers in Christ Jesus. We refuse to bow to pestilence. We refuse to bow to sickness and diseases. We refuse to bow to viruses. We refuse to bow to the pressure of the Bond woman's children. We know who we are in Christ Jesus.
Our faith looks up to God, unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is our Anchor, our present help in trouble. He will not forsake us or let us down. Hold on, beloved. Stand strong and firm, Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. May he grant us the grace not to fall away in Jesus mighty name Amen. Let us continue to be steadfast in well-doing. Let us be steadfast in Prayers. Let us be steadfast in fasting. Let us be steadfast in preaching the Gospel and let us be steadfast in WATCHING. May the Lord use us at these perilous times to be an encourager to wary brethren, to fallen brethren and tired and doubtful brethren in Jesus name. Amen.
God bless!
