Today’s Readings:

Psalm 139:1-6, 13-18 (Judges 2:16-23; Acts 13:16-25)

Our God is omniscient. Omniscience is defined as “the state of having total. knowledge; the quality of knowing everything.” For God to be sovereign over all of His creation, whether visible or invisible, He has to be all-knowing. Some individual’s mind can be amazing in what. they know and also remember but this is incomparable to God knowing the number of hair on our heads (Luke 12: 7), for an example. He also knows our very thoughts, even before we speak forth (Psalm 139:4). He knows our hearts from afar; He even saw us in the womb (Psalm 139:1-3). God knows everything we do. He is constantly looking down and seeing what we do and amazingly, He keeps records constantly of even the innermost secrets of our hearts. Therefore, we need to be mindful of that. Right now, the nations are being ravaged by COVID 19 but God is still in control. He usually provides a way through the opposition and the problems. We need to remember that nothing takes God by surprise. He foresees everything that will happen. He knew long before it took place that nations would be convulsing like this. He is great in all His ways. Halleluyah!!!

Brethren, we need to have the assurance that there is nothing too hard for an Omniscient God, and it is on the basis of our faith in such a God that we can rest secure in Him, knowing that He will not fail in His promises as long as we continue in Him. He has known us from eternity, even before creation (Jeremiah 1: 5).

Even in His all-knowing nature and extreme compassion, He still exercises discipline (Judges 2: 16-23). God’s love and mercy surpass our knowledge and understanding. This Holy God that knows all things; including how despicable our lives are, sent His only begotten Son to take our sins and punishment upon himself on the cross because He knows the soul that sin must die (Ezekiel 18: 20). It is unfathomable! Why would God do this? It is only because of His incomprehensible grace and His knowledge of the end, even before the beginning. He has made His plans before they even come to manifestation (Acts 13: 16-25). God sometimes does things to teach us lessons. He allows things to happen in order to demonstrate who He is. Does not it make you feel happy and comforted to know that God sees, hears and knows everything? That nothing is hidden from him? That God is seeing, hearing, He, cannot be bribed, cannot be manipulated and cannot be fooled? Well, only when we fully grasp and understand this will we be able to rest in peace or be able to stand still and allow God to have his way in the affairs of our lives and that of the world. Surrender your all to Him.
