Today’s Reading:

Psalm 45: 10-17

Genesis 25: 19-27

Romans 7: 1-6

“Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father’s house; So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him. And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favour. The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold. She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colours; The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You. With gladness and rejoicing they shall be brought; They shall enter the King’s palace. Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons, Whom You shall make princes in all the earth. I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore, the people shall praise You forever and ever.” (Psalm 45:10-17 NKJV)

We live in a time when there are many distractions. The prince of this world is all out to destroy lives at whatever cost. Therefore, many facilities are designed to create distractions to people. All these affect our lives. God would rather have our hearts stayed on Him so that we are not entangled with these distractions, but to work for Him and His kingdom. If we are entangled with the affairs of this life, we will have no time left to prepare ourselves for our Lord. We cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.). When we are joined to the family of God, our adornment must reflect who God is to us. We are supposed to adorn ourselves with the beauty that reveals the excellence of our Father - (1 Peter 3:3-6. God created us to give Him pleasure (Revelation 4:11). Therefore, we should adorn ourselves with things that will bring glory to His name. We must not do anything that will make Him ashamed to call us His sons and daughters.

How beautiful it is when we obtain a broken spirit and become meek. For example, can people see the fruit of God’s Spirit in our lives (as ornaments)? What is our response when somebody has something to share with us that will help us in our walk with the Lord? Do we feel irritated because we believe too much in ourselves? Remember, our Lord desires the fruit of meekness as ornaments adorning our new lives after joining the family of God. Are we making ourselves presentable to our King? - (2 Timothy 2:4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.) Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart 2 Timothy 2:22. Are we preparing to meet Jesus? Is God dwelling in us? Is He our God and are we His people? Are you ready to meet the King? - Revelation 22:12. Do we want to be with Jesus in eternity, or do we want to be with the Devil and his fallen angels? The choices we make for our lives today will determine where we spend eternity. God will not be mocked, for whatsoever a man sows so shall he reap - (Galatians 6:7).

Therefore, adorn yourselves with the beauty of holiness and your “HUSBAND” will make you great - (Psalm 45:17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore, the people shall praise You forever and ever.) As we live in these last times, always remember what Jesus said in John 14:6 unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. IRETI SOLOLA
