Today’s Reading:

Psalm 148

"Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven." (v. 13)

I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify him with Thanksgiving...Psalm 69:30. We are encouraged to come before his presence with Thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with Psalms. Psalm 95:2. Psalm 100:4 says we should enter into his gates with Thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name. Thanksgiving is a sacrifice unto the Lord, if done with a willing, grateful, joyful & rejoicing heart. This is one of the virtues that made king David " a man after God's heart".

  • A thankful Heart must be perfect. I Chronicles 29:9; Psalm 101:2.

  • A thankful Heart must be upright. I chronicles 29:17.; Psalm 32:11.; Psalm 119:7.

  • A thankful Heart must be Merry. 2 chronicles 7:10.

  • A thankful heart must rejoice in the Lord. Psalm 28:7.; Psalm 33:21.

  • A thankful heart must be contrite. Psalm 51:17.

  • A thankful heart must be fixed on God. Psalm 57:7.

  • A thankful heart must not regard iniquity. Psalm 66:18.

  • A thankful heart must be clean. Psalm 73:1.

As we go enter into the New year, let us examine our hearts deeply, ask the Holy Spirit to help you, search your heart, so our Thanksgiving can be accepted. We had more than enough challenges in the past years especially year 2020, but God's faithfulness had preserved us, not because we are good or perfect BUT His mercy and grace has kept us. So, this New year is our year of Thanksgiving.

Phil. 4:6 says Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. God Almighty deserves All praises .... WHY??? Remember and forget not ALL his benefits: He forgives ALL our iniquities; He healeth ALL our diseases; He redeemeth our life from destruction - sudden death, Corona virus, arrows that flieth by day & night, kidnappers, terrorists, 419ners,scammers, hackers, children molesters...etc the list is endless - (Psalm 103:2-4).You will agree with me that NOW in this Perilous times, we need Jesus, more than ever. He alone can save to the utmost. Accept Him NOW. Tomorrow can be late.

God bless.

  1. O Lord, give me a thankful heart in Jesus name.

  2. Anything in my life that would hinder me from praising God, come out, and die in Jesus name.

  3. Arise O God and let your light shine forth in my life, in Jesus name.

  4. Let your glorious light shine forth in the body of Christ, in Jesus name.

  5. Glorious light of God, shine on our nation; and destroy every darkness, in Jesus name.
