ADVENT is a season of Hope. What is hope?
The virtue of hope is the power by which we desire the Kingdom of Heaven as our happiness, placing our trust in Christ's promises and relying not on our own strength, but on the grace of the Holy Spirit.
What are you hopeful for?
We are hopeful for the coming of Christ. We are hopeful of the good things which Christ has promised those who place their hope and trust in Him. The Psalmist encourages us with the words, "Happy are all who hope in the Lord". May your hope in Christ never be in vain.
Do the following when your hope begins to fail:
Sing praises to God in every situation, no matter how bad things get.
Setbacks or temptations are opportunities for growth. Don't let them get the best of you.
Speak with persons who listen to you and encourage you.
Go for confession and counselling.
Ask others to pray for you.
Remember to pray for others; you are not the worst case and no case is hopeless.
Let your situation remind you of heaven where there shall be no more sorrow.
REMEMBER
No matter how bad things get, never lose hope. Nothing fails where hope is alive, and nothing is alive when hope fails.
